I spent some time yestertday playing Defcon, one of the few games I have purchased for the PC this century. A game about full-scale nuclear war, its graphics seem sparse at first but come into their own when I ran a game with six AI players and no humans. The planes and missiles danced their ballet of death, with a final death-bloom of missile launches at the end. I tried to spectate on some network games but had no success. Maybe I'll try to get a LAN party going.
