I have been exercising on the elliptical almost every day since we bought it on 23 January. I know that you aren't supposed to work out every day, but if I skip a day I am likely to fall out of the habit. I don't think I look any different, but I do feel better this morning.

PHONE: Planetes DVD came in the mail yesterday. Despite my desperate need to arrest the growth of my physical library, I have made an exception for this show. Thanks to Ewen Cluney for the tip. I cannot recommend this anime highly enough. I so want the RPG license.

PHONE: Still employed. Nothing is likely to happen to my job until October. I could write about what I think about the Administration's proposed budget for NASA, but obviously I have a vested interest as well as a need to be discrete. Perhaps some other time. For now, I will only say that I like my job and I plan to do it for as long as I can.

PHONE: So I am driving down Bay Area Blvd this morning and there is this sprinkler head spewing water into the street. A gush of water lands directly on my windshield, startling me. Uncharacteristically, I try to do something about it. I call the police to report a nuisance, and am told that this breaks no law. I suppose you have to actually have a wreck and then sue the property owner. But I also suppose that's the way it has to be. If everything is proactively banned then you end up with the Nanny State.
